Receptionist / Phone Specialist - Lakewood, NJ

We are seeking an experienced Receptionist for the Lakewood, NJ office of a Tech focused company based out of NYC.  Our client fosters a great work environment with much room for professional growth.
The key responsibilities will be phone reception and directing calls intelligently and appropriately to the right department or individuals. There may also be some light administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will be extremely organized, tactful, discreet, maintain a very friendly and upbeat demeanor and possess a very strong ability to multitask. This is an excellent long term position with benefits as there is much room for growth for an ambitious, industrious individual.
  • Excellent phone manner
  • Needs to be quick, articulate, friendly, upbeat, energetic, and detail oriented.
  • Handle a high volume of calls and route them intelligently
  • Good verbal communication and listening skills
  • Computer savvy - able to learn new applications quickly
  • Ability to focus and stay calm when there is a heavy call volume
  • Organizational skills and an ability to work under pressure.
  • The discretion to keep proprietary company information confidential.
  • Prior experience in Customer Service, Receptionist or dealing with heavy phone call volume is required.
  • 2+ years of Receptionist experience.
  • ​Telephone skills; good verbal communication and listening skills.
  • Microsoft Office Skills (Word, Outlook, etc.)
  • Professionalism and a customer focus.
  • Organizational skills and an ability to handle pressure.
  • ​Ability to work independently and make sound judgments on a day-to-day basis.
  • Ability to follow complex written and verbal instruction.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to maintain good communication with other staff members.
