Team Manager - Order Department - Computer Reseller

A well-established, mid-size tech firm is seeking a Team Manager to oversee a busy team that is responsible for purchasing a large volume of computers (servers, desktops, laptops, etc)  and IT components (printers, network devices, routers, cables, storage, etc). The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding and experience with purchasing or selling of computers and their related components and peripherals. Someone who has experience in managing a team of at least 5-6 people is preferred.  
 
Responsibilities:
  • Manage a team of 6 specialists responsible for purchasing computer equipment.
  • Mentor and coach the team regarding product information and customer relations skills.
  • Manage the workflow of processing order requests, generating quotes and ensure timely follow-up by team members with vendors,  and shipping companies.
  • Ensure order accuracy and develop strategies to increase accuracy.
  • Drive forward system and process improvements and identify any training requirements for the Order Processing Team
  • Monitor customer satisfaction and identify strategies for improvement
  • Identify opportunities for additional revenue
  • Handle escalations and document delivery issues quickly and to the highest standard.
  • Provide solutions to team as well as management and engineering to resolve issues related to sourcing, ordering, delivery and implementation.
Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of experience managing teams
  • Deep understanding and experience selling or buying computers and their associated components.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
