Senior Director of Digital Product Management

We are currently seeking a Director of Digital Product Management who is a collaborative thought leader with strong business execution skills. Our client is a major player in the Retail / Online industry and they have experienced tremendous growth in recent years. The ideal candidate will be someone who can envision, communicate and drive a “customer first” experience in digital channels. Someone who is comfortable leading the conversation with business stakeholders and creating a product roadmap for all the company’s digital properties. The candidate will work closely with the IT department to execute the roadmap and be the primary contact point between business stakeholders and the IT department.


  • Create a product strategy that aligns with overall company strategy, be able to clearly articulate that strategy.
  • Generate customer value and create advantages over competitors.
  • Envision and anticipate how the product, industry and competition is going to evolve and adjust roadmap accordingly.
  • Have a passion for building a great product that will be loved by customers and be able to onboard and excite entire team about the product and strategy.
  • Collect customer insights using various channels, including talking with the customer to improve the product roadmap.
  • Thrive to build a world class user experience via identifying customer needs, designing interaction diagrams and testing those diagrams to engage and connect with the customer with emotive visual designs.
  • Implement performance measures to assess alignment with strategic goals and make adjustments to achieve desired results shared with internal and external partners.
  • Demonstrate an ability to be a collaborative leader that can work with various functional units and customers, making all parties feel they make a valuable contribution.
  • Ability to get things, even down to the smallest level of details
  • Ability to QA, write marketing copy, mock-up wireframes and do PR if necessary
  • Ownership of end-to-end web and Omni-channel customer experience delivering the product on time and within budget.
  • Responsible for new technology acquisitions and negotiations with regard to vendor partnerships or product purchases.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in a relevant area or equivalent work experience
  • 7+ years of related work experience in a customer-centric business, specifically retail and/or ecommerce
  • 3+ years as Director of Customer Experience and/or Product Development
  • Demonstrated experience in transforming or creating best in class experiences for large ecommerce retailers.
  • Proven ability to innovates solutions in a complex matrix environment, utilize creativity and innovation to solve problems
  • Experience working with diverse cultures and markets

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with applying Design Thinking in a service industry
  • Leveraging Lean Innovation best practices to drive improvement initiatives
  • Ability to assess and manage risk
  • Excellent presentation skills.
