To be considered for this position you must have a car and you will be reimbursed for all travel expenses. The Windows Field Engineer is primarily responsible for the administration, maintenance and support of desktop, laptop, server hardware, software, and associated peripherals. Duties of this position include the installation, configuration, and support of operating systems and applications; participation in remote site administration; and production support activities. We are seeking an energetic, highly motivated individual who will work with the latest technologies in this arena.
Install and configure new computer hardware and software (mostly Windows based) for clients at the customer site
Perform installations, repairs, upgrades and complete configuration of Computer and related peripherals at the customer site
Perform repairs, upgrades and complete configuration of servers, switches, routers, backup and related peripherals at the customer site
Troubleshoot customer issues at the customer site or via remote access
Take service calls (phone or email) and either resolve them or pass them on appropriately
Utilize Service Desk system to maintain records of requests and responses for support issues
Hardware/Software installs and upgrades
Assist in the administration of a Windows environment
Competency in installing, diagnosing, troubleshooting and repairing computer hardware, software and networking issues on PCs and related equipment
5 years - Windows Desktop Operating Systems
3 years - Windows Server (2003/2008/20012)
3 years - Enterprise Antivirus Software (Symantec, McAfee)
3 years - Active Directory experience and Group Policy
3 years - MS Exchange (2003, 2007, 2010)
Prior Managed Service Provider (MSP) experience is preferred.
